Precautions & After Care

Threading & Waxing …

Precaution: For sensitive skin waxing/threading may result in minor bumps, rashes, etc. More specifically, waxing/threading can result in temporary enlargement of the hair follicles that can allow bacteria, normally residing on the skin, to enter the follicles and cause superficial or deep skin infections.

If an infection is noted, it should be evaluated and treated by a dermatologist as soon as possible. If you have never waxed/threaded before, please request a complimentary patch test before you undergo waxing/threading treatment. We recommend waiting 24 - 48 hours after the patch test to see if any adverse reactions occur before a full treatment is performed.

Specialists will wear disposable gloves during treatments if they have any hand injuries and during all bikini treatments. You may also request that the Specialist wear gloves during any treatment.

After-Care: The area that was treated may be more sensitive than usual for the next 24 - 48 hours.

Please be kind to your skin, avoid harsh products that may have adverse reactions, for the next 24 - 48 hours after your treatment.

a) Refrain from using skin care products, like cleansers and moisturizers, which contain acids (i.e. alpha-hydroxy, glycolic, salicylic, etc.)

b) Although these acidic ingredients help remove the dead outer layers of skin, they may cause an adverse reaction after hair removal, depending on the sensitivity of your skin.

Henna Hair color & Tattoos…

Precautions: Henna color comes in two forms; one is pure & natural and contains no chemicals. That is 100% harmless to use on Hair & Tattoos. That is 100% harmless to use on Hair and Tattoos. That is solely for a few days use as this can be washed away in few washes and certainly starts fading from 1st wash.

There are other type of Henna, which contains 1-3% of Peroxide i.e. p-Phenylendiamine. Their colors are darker & can last for over a month. We do not stock, recommend or use these, as on certain sensitive or irritative skins it may cause allergic reactions. We can order them especially for you if you let us know that you are not sensitive to this or similar chemicals. In case of doubt, ask for complimentary patch test. Though these colors are safe for most but we will strongly recommend this test. A patch test is conducted to check for any negative skin reaction to the chemicals in the color. It is easy to administer, by applying some color on the inside of your elbow, keep it for 25-30 minutes and wash off. If there is any skin reaction we will avoid using this Henna and will recommend pure Henna.

After-Care: Coloring hair could also lead to some amount of hair damage that can be treated with using a good conditioner after coloring. A conditioner helps restore the hair’s texture and the nourishing vitamins that dried out by the coloring process. For Hanna Tattoos – avoid the Tattooed are from exposure to Sun, heat or hot bath. In case of rash, irritation or allergic reaction, get in touch with us so we can either treat it immediately or recommend you to see a Doctor before it gets worse.
